Focus and Scope

Culture Unbound: Journal of Current Cultural Research is a journal for border-crossing cultural research, globally open to articles from all areas in this large field, including cultural studies as well as other interdisciplinary and transnational currents for exploring cultural perspectives, issues and phenomena. It is peer-reviewed and easily accessible for downloading as open access.

Culture Unbound is hosted by Linköping University Electronic Press (LiU E-Press, www.ep.liu.se). It is based on a co-operation between two Linköping University units that provide a unique profile to the journal, bridging regional and global research traditions:

Culture Unbound has three editors who are appointed by its owning units with the task to run the editorial work and organise the Editorial Board. It has no organisational, political or commercial agenda, as its sole purpose is to publish the best possible open access journal for cultural research.

Peer Review Process

Culture Unbound uses double-blind peer review. All submissions should include an anonymised version of the manuscript, which following preliminary review by the editorial team, are reviewed by two referees who remain anonymous to the author. The review process normally takes between two and six months.
