Aims and scope

 The mission of the Swedish Journal of Design Research is to be a leading outlet for design research that targets and audience in both academia and practice. The journal is international, and aims to address design related issues globally, as well as to attract authors and readers from across the globe. SDRJ aims to advance the field of design research by promoting research that has true theoretical and practical relevance, and by demanding rigorous research evaluated by experienced reviewers. 

Peer Review Process

The journal adopts a double blind review process.

Each article is reviewed by two reviewers who are expert in the given field.

Publication Frequency

Articles are published online monthtly. The journal is bi-annual in its paper publication form.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Swedish Design Research Journal (SDRJ) is an international journal for design research.

Swedish Design Research Journal is published twice per year, peer reviewed and open access. It is a must read to keep up with the latest in design research.

The journal aims to reach an international audience and authorship of both practiciationers and researchers. Research articles are found at https://www.journal.ep.liu.se/index.php/SVID and at www.svid.se. In the former location, only research articles are found. At www.svid.se and in print, research articles are combined with popular scientific articles in a magazine format, comprising of interviews, reports, columns and reviews of design-related literature.

Swedish Industrial Design Foundation funds the journal. The foundation is a non-profit organization, which aims to promote the usage of design practices and promote design research. The Swedish Design Research Journal is hosted by Electronic Press at Linköping University.
